And what do you think you’d ever say? I won’t listen anyway.

Personality: At first, Kovu can come off as very dark and mysterious. He is also quiet and calm in most of his actions. After you get to know him however, you realize that he is an all around good natured person. He fights for what he believes in and holds his friends very highly. He wouldn't think twice about defending those he cares about - even to the death. He is loyal to his friends, but does what he thinks is right. He can be knowledgeable and thinks about what he sees. He is very observant.

He's semi-open minded to new things, though he is more comfortable doing things he knows. Since he's been married he's taken a lead role in the development and the protection of the pride living in the pride lands as well as being incredibly supportive of his precious mate whom he loves and adores. He'd willingly fight to protect any one of the pride rock members as well as the animals that graze the Savannah. He tries his best to be just and truthful to avoid being looked at like his father's son.

Before:

Kovu had not always been around the beautiful strong lions at pride rock. He'd been with the outcasts mainly, living off scraps of meat in the elephant grave yard. Until he met Kiara one find and beautiful day. They spent hours together and fell hopelessly in love at which point it was brought to the attention of their parents who were enemies for Kovu had been trained to take over pride rock just like his father had done. Kovu and Kiara managed to stop a full blown war between the two prides.

After making everyone see that they are one and the same Kovu and Kiara brought the prides together and peace was restored to pride rock. Time wore on and Kovu akd Kiara lived and played in reliative harmony though there was the odd fight but it would be sorted out eventually. They were inseprable and Kovu had never been happier by her side working hand in hand with Simba and Scar in order to make the lands livable, to make the lands work. Mufasa kept his brother in check though.

After:

Everything was peaceful and calm. The night was turning to dawn and pretty soon everything would be a hub of activity in pride rock. As always Kovu was the first to stir among the lions there but he was also the first to realize that something was horribly wrong. He jerked awake and was on his feet within seconds glancing to the sleeping lioness by his side. Who was she? She was beautiful, yes, but also a stranger. And where was her? As he glanced around he noticed the whole cave was filled with sleeping lions and lionesses.

Kovu didn't run. Didn't make a sound as he padded out of the room and into the breaking dawn. Once outside he turned his attention back to the cave. He didn't know these lands. He didn't know these lions and most of all, he didn't know why he was here. But maybe they would have the answers to his questions... or someone else down in the lands. He'd go and find somone to explain this all to him. With a flick of his tail he moved form where he'd settled and trotted down into the valley eventually breaking into a run.
